we Have run with both and Rush seems to be more popular with hardcore i my opinion. If you guys want the server changing just let me know but you can’t mix modes unfortunately.

From a sniper PoV, conquest is more of a challenge and tbh I like it. Mick is right when he says that Rush is sniper heaven as the maps are very linear.

Try Conquest tonight ?

Lev you can mix game types at all. So you have to choose between rush or conquest. There are 6 maps per game type (http://forum.rackage.com/showthread.php?t=2334). So based on what you have said it looks like we will end up limiting ourselves to 3-4 maps on the server at anyone time. I'm fine with this but it will get boring quick. Maybe we should think about different game types on different nights as the admin features improve I can probably setup an automated system to change the map rotation each night.

As to hardcore I have no control it is what it is. You can use the mini map but you have to press tab. The lack of bullet count I think adds to the realism and i like it. In rl you have no bullet counter this makes tactical reloads essential. Personally I find hardcore to be well balanced the one-shot sniper is a bit much but lets face it if you get hit by a sniper in rl you are out of the fight.

It's more a problem with the EA servers then punkbuster. Punkbuster is kicking but it is caused by the ea servers going down. I Have already reactivated our accounts with the ban lists and started streaming the master ban lists. Screenshots will be starting as soon as I get time to sort it and I will be trying to make them available for clan members to view and pass on for ban's.

Yeah it does suck you can't mix game types. Do other battlefield games support this?

I have zero problem with hardcore atm, especially since I learned you can one shot with sniper in normal mode anyway. (body shot that it) No map is fine and will matter less when we know the maps. No ammo is just realistic.

The only problem I have atm, is some of the maps seem a bit shite, presumably with so many people being the issue, not the maps themselves. (I'm talking Rush here)

Problems on conquest maps are caused by imbalanced teams seemingly, nothing else.

Mick does highlight one major problem though, no map start timer. Game over if facing a team of quick loaders.

There dosn't seem to be an option for start delay. They may patch it in.

The main problem at the moment seems to be keeping teams balanced.

this is a big issue as there is no command in the game engine to swap a players team at present. They may patch it in.

The frostbite engine is really not ready for pc allot of RCON & Punkbuster features have never been coded in. They will not be releasing mod tools for this game so don't expect lots of maps to be released.

Like I have said before this is stepping stone on the way to battlefield 3 next year when ea expect the frostbite engine to be ready with mod tools and optimized for more players.
